Kamakhya

Kamakhya Temple - situated on Nilachal Hill, 8 km west of the city. This temple honour the Mother Goddess Kamakhya, the essence of female energy. It is one of the 108 Shakti Peethas of Goddess Durga. The temple is a natural cave with a spring. Down a flight of steps to the bowel of earth, is located a dark, mysterious chamber. Here, draped with a silk sari and covered with flowers, is kept the "matra yoni".

Shillong

Shillong -the capital of Meghalaya, is a hill town, situated in the north eastern part of India. Shillong has beautiful lakes and waterfalls, and is set in pine forests and green mountains. This hill resort is unique in its scenic beauty and culture. It is a popular hill-station which the British used to call the Scotland of the East.
Cherrapunji - It is credited as being the second wettest place on Earth. Valleys around Cherrapunji, however, are covered with lush and very diverse vegetation, containing numerous endemic species of plants.

Guwahati

Guwahati - -is a major city in eastern India, often considered as the gateway to the North-East Region (NER) of the country and is the largest city within the region. Dispur, the capital of the Indian state of Assam is situated within the city. Guwahati is one of the most rapidly growing cities in India. During past few decades it has experienced unprecedented spatial expansion and also steep rise in population.
